Kevin WIlkins

Kevin Wilkins grew up in a middle-class family in the small town of Kinmundy, Illinois, where his father works as a trainman on the railroad and his mother works at the local bank. Kevin graduated from South Central High School as the Valedictorian of his class and excelled in athletics as a member of the varsity baseball and basketball teams. Following high school, Kevin went on to play collegiate baseball at McKendree University, where he was a two-time All-American Scholar-Athlete. While at McKendree, Kevin earned a business degree in economics and finance and graduated with the distinct honor of magna cum laude.

Kevin received his J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law, graduating cum laude with the honor of Order of the Woolsack. Knowing that he wanted to be a trial lawyer, Kevin focused his law school curriculum on civil litigation skills and earned a concentration in Civil Litigation. Kevin also earned an Academic Excellence Award for his outstanding coursework in Products Liability. In his final year of law school, Kevin was honored with the St. Louis University Award for Legal Service for his dedication and diligent representation of poor and underserved clients while litigating cases for the St. Louis University Legal Clinic.

Prior to joining the firm, Kevin spent two summers working for a major national defense firm where he honed his skills working on a variety of complex civil litigation cases. Kevin now focuses his practice on representing injured people and their families and practices in the firm’s Railroad, Class Action, and Toxic Injury Practice Areas, with a particular emphasis on Railroad and FELA litigation due to his lifelong connection to the rail industry.

Kevin is a member of the Missouri Bar and has been admitted to practice in federal courts in Oklahoma, Michigan, Illinois and Missouri.

Outside of the firm, Kevin is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting and fishing. Kevin is active in the community and volunteers with Join Hands ESL, where he serves as a mentor for children in the East St. Louis area and helps coach their youth baseball and basketball programs.
